Stoney Homestead
Silverdale, Auckland
The Stoney Homestead was built on the farm of the Stoney family at Silverdale. The house was built in stages from 1866 and incorporates the late-1850s cottage from the property, which became the kitchen. The homestead has been retained within the surrounding new suburban development. Strengthened and conserved for use as a community facility, it provides an important connection to the farming history of this area.
