Glass Houses
Auckland Domain
Conservation and maintenance works were undertaken to two of the historic glasshouses in the Auckland Domain nursery. The No. 8 Glasshouse, with fish motifs above its entry, is thought to date from the 1920s. The adjacent No. 9 Glasshouse was manufactured by the Messenger Bros. and was donated by the Auckland Racing Club to Auckland City Council in 1932 from their winter garden complex.
