Roundhead studios
Auckland
A new music recording studio for Roundhead Studios was designed within an existing building constructed in 1928 as the Fountain of Friendship Lodge. The project included the design of the ground floor recording and performance studio, isolation rooms, machine room and control room as well as a new lounge and upgraded service facilities. The studio is acoustically isolated from the surrounding structure to eliminate structure-borne sound. Folding doors and curtains enable room size and acoustic changes, providing flexibility for performance and recording.
